This attire is specifically called a Samue (作務衣) in Japanese which is translated as "work clothes". The term Kimono (きもの/着物) actually just means "a thing to wear" but was an umbrella term used to simplify the vast types of Japanese attire to the west.

We have alot of respect for Japanese craftsmanship and have tried our best to meet the standards. Hopefully we're able to bring a hint of Japan to you in this collection.

I have amended the design and material a little to suit our Malaysian weather, reduce leftover fabric waste and make it more affordable.
